Tree removal
There are typically three options for plant care: treatment, removal, or no treatment. Removal is recommended when a tree is past threshold for good health due to old age, damage from a storm, human intervention, or pests and disease, or it is hazardous. We have the expertise to safety remove the tree regardless of the situation. Give us a call for a free quote today.

tree and shrub pruning and health care
Pruning trees is part of a standard tree health care, helping to sure their crowns are strong. Pruning also helps to ensure increased light and airflow to the branches to prevent pathogens, increases fruit production, and also improves aesthetics. Most often, health issues can be corrected through pruning and the use of organic and eco-friendly solutions. Therefore, we are happy to also provide organic fertilization, compost, and mulching services. Give us a call for a free quote today to help take care of your trees.

Nesting Bird Surveys
Did you know almost every bird you see in Ontario is protected? Even for common native birds, it is illegal to destroy or harm an active bird nest and fines range from hundreds of dollars to one million dollars if the species is at risk. Before you engage in tree work or removal, we can provide you a survey and report that shows you have done your due diligence to prevent harm to a migratory bird, or Species at Risk bird. To learn more about the Acts regulating birds in Ontario, see Migratory Bird Convention Act, Species at Risk Act, Endangered Species Act (Ontario). Beyond bird surveys, we can engage local specialists to carry out addition surveys for Amphibians, Reptiles, and more.

Arborist & Forestry Consulting Services
We do a range of consulting from single trees to large forests including Arborist Reports, Tree Inventories, and Forest Management Plans. If you're developing or severing a property, applying for a building permit, or completing major landscaping, you'll likely require an Arborist report and sometimes a Tree Inventory and Preservation Plan before permits can be issued by your local municipality. If you own land with a forest, it is always a good idea to know what tree, bird, and understory species are in your forest and create a plan to meet your goals (ie. wildlife habitat creation, forest health, profit from timber sale etc). Does your Tree have a Fungus, Pest, Or Disease?
Some mushrooms, insects or pathogens are serious and can lead to tree death while some are benign.
It is best to have a certified arborist or forester identify or diagnose the issue, however, there are some helpful resources like Forestry Images that you can explore.
